THE PROGRAM
Jump Start is Dick Hannah Dealerships' technician education initiative designed to connect local students with real career opportunities.
REAL EXPERIENCE
Participants split their time between classroom learning through a local college automotive program and hands-on training at Dick Hannah Dealerships. Along the way, they work alongside professional automotive technicians and gain real-world experience inside our service departments.
CAREER SECURITY
The goal is simple: help students move from education to employment with the skills, confidence, and support needed to begin a successful automotive career.
Supporting Students While They Learn
For many students, starting a career requires more than interest and motivation. It also requires access, support, and a clear path forward. That's why Jump Start includes meaningful support while students are learning, including paid experience in our service bays, help with tools, and mentorship from working professionals.
The current Jump Start materials describe support including a $300 monthly stipend, hourly wages while training, and a $1,500 tool credit.
