Meet Zach, one of our Senior Master Technicians and Service Stars at Dick Hannah Subaru. His expert attention to detail ensures your car is fixed right the first time.

For Zach working in the service department is all about the customer. Making them happy by getting their car fixed the right way, as quickly as possible and seeing the smile on their face as they get behind the wheel and back on the road.

“When you happen to be up in the service drive with your advisors and you see a happy customer, thanking them, we’ll get customers that will be up there and bake cookies and give them to the advisors and say hey, tell your team they do a good job. It’s nice to be recognized for things like that every once in a while,” Zach said.

When other automotive service shops struggle to figure out what is wrong with the car, Zach is the guy to go to for an expert fix. His Subaru Senior Master Technician certification makes him the go-to expert for everything Subaru.

“Most anything that has a problem that no one can find out it comes to me,” said Zach.

To achieve Subaru Senior Master Technician status, Zach had to complete a series of tests, attend instructor-led technical training classes and have a certain amount of work experience in each required category.

Here are just a few of the necessary requirements:

You must successfully complete Subaru Level 5 Training and have 5 years Subaru service experience based on the date of your first instructor-led technical training class. You are required to be ASE certified in the following areas:

• A1 Engine Repair
• A2 Automatic Transmission
• A3 Manual Drivetrain & Axles
• A4 Suspension & Steering
• A5 Brakes
• A6 Electrical/Electronic Systems
• A7 Heating, Ventilation, and A/C Systems
• A8 Engine Performance

All of these requirements help to ensure that your Dick Hannah Subaru technicians possess all the training possible and necessary skills to fix get your car up and running again.
