Toyota Donates 100 Winter Coats

Kelso, WA January 5th, 2012 – Dick Hannah Toyota donated 100 winter coats to the Salvation Army Wednesday, January 4th, 2012. The coats, which were purchased new at from the local Fred Meyer department store, were presented to Captain David Davis, Corps Commanding Officer, of the Salvation Army for distribution to individuals and families in need in Cowlitz County. “Need takes no holiday and need knows no season,” said Captain Davis. “Winter is still here and these people are still freezing, a donation as large as what Dick Hannah Toyota has given will help aid the people who are in desperate need but for whatever reason can’t acquire a coat for themselves or their families”.

The Salvation Army endeavors to provide people in need with everything from clothing, food, job training and transportation aid. Volunteers and donations made by members of the community allow The Salvation Army to continue to provide countless services and support to all those in need.
