Automotive Service Assistant for Fast Specialties

Our Fast Specialties Automotive Service Assistants play a key role in driving business by expertly recommending and selling necessary services to our valued customers while building meaningful, long-lasting relationships.

 

Automotive Service Assistant Compensation and Benefits:

 

Automotive Service Assistant Competitive Salary: $25.00/hr

 

Generous Paid Time Off (PTO): We prioritize work-life balance, offering industry-leading PTO. New full-time employees accrue 4 hours per pay period, totaling approximately 96 hours in the first year, with increases over time.

Paid Holidays: We offers 5 paid holidays per year to Automotive Service Assistant subject to completion of the introductory period and other eligibility requirements as per company policy.

 

Fast Specialties Automotive Service Assistant Responsibilities: 

  • Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtains vehicle information.
  • Refers to service history, inspects vehicles and recommends additional needed service.
  • Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
    Checks on the progress of repair throughout the day.
  • Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
  • Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed, and additional work and authorization is noted. Closes repair order as appropriate.
  • Explains completed work and all charges to customers.
  • Assists all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
  • Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
  • Pulls and fills orders from stock.
  • Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
  • Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.
  • Notifies the service advisor and the customer when special ordered parts have been received.
  • Follows up on back-ordered parts.
  • Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
  • Keeps front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered.
  • Participates in all training programs that are made available.
  • Keeps current on new products and product updates.

Fast Specialties Automotive Service Assistant Qualifications: 

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Physical ability to use computer hardware/software.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and ability to collaborate in a team-oriented process.
  • Must maintain clean driving record and be insurable with company insurance.
