Its supple chassis and responsive steering make it a true pleasure to drive. A 170-hp 1.8-liter turbo four pairs with a standard five-speed manual; a six-speed automatic is optional. A new infotainment system featuring a larger 6.5-inch touchscreen has been added to the list of available features for the 2016 Volkswagen Golf. In the e-Golf, an eight-inch touchscreen is also available. Base S models now come standard with a rearview camera and cloth seats while the SE trim now has keyless entry/ start. The Driver Assistance package has been updated and now includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot warning, rear cross traffic alert, and rear park assist with steering assist.
