My name is James Mahin. I am a native Oregonian who has spent most of my life in Southeast Portland. I graduated from Centennial High School when the school was young and went to Portland State University in the late 60’s, where I studied liberal arts and business management. My wife and I have been married for 38 years and have two great children and two adorable grandchildren. I was a business owner for over 30 years before coming here at Dick Says Yes. When I am not here I like to spend time with the family. I have a passion for live theater, and classic literature. Though I have not played in a while, I do like golf and I do expect hitting the links again soon. The greatest part of this job is the customers. It is a nice feeling knowing I have had a part in helping people reestablish their credit and set out fulfilling their dreams.

I grew up on the Great Lakes in Northern Michigan. I moved to Portland Oregon a year ago from Tucson Arizona where I graduated from the University of Arizona. Previously I worked in behavioral health with children and volunteered working with disabled children and therapeutic horses. I enjoy cycling and swimming and hope to accomplish a triathlon in the next year. I hope in the future to get my PHD in Physical Therapy and continue to help individuals. I was born April 13th 1980 in Keiser Hospital Portland Oregon, just a little over a month before Mount St Helens erupted. I was raised in the northwest and attended high school on both sides of the bridge. I attended my first 2 years at Jefferson High School in Portland OR and my last two years at Evergreen High School in Vancouver, WA. I married my wife this last January 2012 and we spent our honeymoon in the gorge. We love hiking, trips to the mountains or trips to the beach. My entire family loves the northwest and I have no intention of moving any time soon.
